Good Governance and Transparency, University of Phayao

Good Governance and Transparency are the two big terms that all government officers must never lose sight of. One can say that these two words hold a rod of “angel” and “evil” at the same time. On the one hand, they guard against misfortunes for the government officers who strictly follow the rules and regulations set. On the other hand, they can harshly punish those who violate or distort the prescribed rules and regulations for their own benefits.  

On August 19, 2022, Chiang Rai Campus, led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tipchan Wongchanta, Director, and Mr. Supote Manasukh, Acting Head of Administration, participated in the “Governance &Transparency UP” project, held at University of Phayao during August 19-20, 2022. Speakers were from different government legal offices. The main aim of the Project was to show the participants and/or government offers of what they can do and cannot do, according to the rules and regulations set within good governance and transparency schemes. 

In the fashion of Knowledge Sharing, the knowledge and insights gained from the Conference were later shared and discussed among staff members at a meeting of Chiang Rai Campus.
